You can call this your Sneak Peek of the Weekend.
Comic Book Men returns for its fourth season this weekend. You might recall that last year around this time, I mentioned that Comic Book Men would become fairly important to the blog. Then, nothing.
That’s because I was contractually obligated to not talk about it.
You see, my brother Allan Keyes and I were invited on the show. Allan had some items they were interested in. I got to be background filler.
Yes, we went out to Red Bank NJ, filmed in The Secret Stash, went behind the scenes in the production offices, met Walt and the guys (but not Kevin Smith, who is in reality almost never there.)
Get the irony? Me, the guy who spent a lot of time in the past screaming about how reality television is all fake, from Scrappers to The Apprentice to Long Island Medium, was on a reality television show. But I have to hand it to them- fake it may be, (well, sort of. You’ll see.) but every single person involved with the show was the absolute height of professionalism and just plain nice.
There’s a lot to talk about, and Allan Keyes will start it off tomorrow. Yup, this will the first new Fun With Teh Internets post since March. I’ve been sitting on it for over a year now, unable to run it due to the confidentiality agreement we both signed. However, that’s all over and I’ll follow his post with a new one of my own.
So come back tomorrow for some real behind the scenes scuttlebutt. But just don’t expect Kevin Smith.
