Banksy: Not All Art Is Framed

March 15, 2018

I spotted this on a wall of an abandoned gas station in Midwood, Brooklyn a few days ago. I was lucky enough to be there before anyone messed it up with tags and other graffiti. The slash is merely a shadow.

I’m sure there’s a statement behind the artwork but I’m simply impressed.

UPDATE: According to the NY Post, this is by famed artist Banksy! And I was one of the first to see it. Check out their picture, which is, as I predicted, marred by tags and random spray. https://nypost.com/2018/03/17/more-banksy-art-spotted-in-nyc/

Once again, I scooped the mainstream media!

I thought so too. I’m also a little surprised it is unsigned.
