Saturday Comics: Bloom County

No big story this week, not a lot of backstory. If you don’t know Bloom County you need to increase your comic strip literacy, since this is one of the best known and fondly remembered strips of the past few decades. It is also among the best strips ever done. So in honor of the upcomming Presidential election, here is a selection of more or less election themed Bloom county strips.

    Excuse me….. I was having a POGO flashback….. 😉 Bloom County was pretty funny, with dashes of political & social commentary sprinkled liberally throughout. It seems like a mixture of POGO & Doonesbury.

      Appreciate Pogo, hate Doonesbury which, at least in the last couple of decades, has decided that humor comes in second behind pushing its political agenda.

        Pogo is a classic, Doonesbury is a comparative newcomer & was preachy, when last I looked.
