I checked in on The Family Circus early in January. Know what? It wasn’t funny. It was NEVER funny. Want proof? Here is a current panel:
What’s the joke? I don’t get it! Are they going for heartwarming? Slice of life? I don’t even see where the humor is supposed to belong, unless you count the grin on the baby. He totally looks like he just filled his diaper, but I’m not sure that’s what they’re going for.
And for the record, this is the last time The Family circus was funny:
It wasn’t supposed to be funny. It was part of some weird, subversive plot to put its regular readers into cutesy, syrupy – sweet, fluffy – warm – fuzzy diabetic – type comas after reading it. Gaaahh !

I love your wit. I’ve nominated you for the Most Inspiring Blogger Award at http://thewhyaboutthis.com/i-belong/, My reason wasn’t really to give you more written chores, but to let other people know about you through my blog. My own way of doing things. Play or not. It’s cool!

Wow, thanks! That is an honor and I really appreciate it! I am totally going to play and I’m going to take my time to do it right.

Concur. Other than possibly Nancy, there has never been a worse comic strip. Although Marmaduke might give it a run for its money.

Ugh. But at least with Marmaduke I can at least see where the humor is supossed to be.
