Up, Down, and All Around

I said to my brother last night “are you down for watching MasterChef tonight?”

Then it occurred to me I could have said “are you up for watching Masterchef tonight?”

Down and up have the same meaning in those contexts.

God bless slang.

    Know what you mean. The winner might be a bad guy but he’s definitely a bad chef!
