The Saturday Comics: Star Hawks

It is easy to dismiss Star Hawks as a Star Wars ripoff, but what wasn’t in 1977? However, this strip has a great pedigree. It was written  by Ron Goulart and then Archie Goodwin, and illustrated by Gil Kane. (And if you don’t know who any of them are, you better be off to google.) With creators like that, it is a shame that it only ran from 1977 to 1981.

I love Gil Kane’s art, and the strip is total 1970’s. Enjoy.

I haven’t seen a bad piece of Gil Kane art.

I think I’ve seen this one before, and it was pretty unique in it’s own way. Great share!
