Sneak Peek of the Week of September 25th, 2011

25 Sep

September 25, 2011

Could that guy be more obvious? That is not how you take a sneak peek.

And neither is this:

This week Mr. Blog’s Tepid Ride is heavy on recurring features.

Tuesday- The American Chopper Weekly Rundown
Wednesday- The Blog that was a Decade in the Making part 3
Thursday- another New York legend of vague veracity
Friday- an Imponderable from the world of prison
Saturday- Saturday Comics features an all-time classic

All this and something to love on Monday too, this week on Mr. Blog’s Tepid Ride.

The Saturday Comics: Jack Benny

24 Sep

September 24, 2011

Kind of a mixed bag today. A few unrelated comics featuring Jack Benny.

These comics, from Batman and Winnie Winkle, highlight two of Benny’s famous traits- extreme cheapness and extremely bad violin playing. I’ve also included a couple of ads, one encouraging kids to draw a beard on Jack Benny. Jack has some comic book appearances but these are more obscure. Enjoy.
