This blog did not simply pop into existence back in 2006. Long before I ever took it online, I had amassed a whole collection of strange, funny, and just plain odd articles and pictures from my local newspapers. This week, I’m scanning in some of my favorite relics from the dusty archives and exposing them to the public for the first time in decades. We’ll see the World’s Dumpiest Family, debate whether a man’s political sign is racist or simply illiterate, ponder what happened in the back of Donald Trump’s limo to make a woman glow from ecstasy, and examine an old Mike Tyson press release. All this, and yes, even more, this week on bmj2k.com.

Is that mule farting in Popeye’s face? I really think it is. That mule is farting in Popeye’s face. I really love the golden age of animation.

From time to time I get a little worried about Popeye. Concerned. Is he doing all right? Is everything ok? Is Swee’ Pea still an infant after 70 or so years? So after Allan Keyes goes a little nuts on Monday ranting about political correctness (among other things) I’ll check in with a trio of classic posts featuring Popeye. And after the all-new Popeye-themed Friday Imponderable, an all-new Saturday post all about my favorite mumbling sailor.
