No long story tonight. I came across an old episode of Married With Children on TV the other day and it happened that it had one of my favorite Al Bundy scenes. first, here is Al’s “dramatic reading” of a great, classic, doo wop song, Gene Chandler’s Duke of Earl. I’ll follow it up with the actual song.

No one rocked a monocle like the Duke of Earl. Mr. Peanut? Nah. The Monopoly guy? Uh uh. Cape, stick, and monocle, Gene Chandler has it going on.
