Sneak Peek of the Week of December 4th, 2011

4 Dec

December 4, 2011

For the third week in a row, the badly named and increasingly inaccurate  Mob Week continues. This week, we will spotlight Old Time Radio and modern radio, and maybe even spring a  surprise or two.

The American Chopper Weekly Rundown will be doing double duty this week. The Rundown will be huge since the show is airing the Jesse James build-off in a pair of two-hour specials and I plan to put it all in one giant post.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. While we will be saying goodbye to Mob Week, we will begin welcoming back our returning regular features, including Saturday Comics.

All this, WTF?, and more,  this week on Mr. Blog’s Tepid Ride.

Sneak Peek of the Week of November 20th, 2011: MOB WEEK

20 Nov

November 20, 2011

The next week and a half are going to be pretty special around here. You are going to love Mob Week. Why? Chiefly because I am not writing it.

I have invited (begged, cajoled, blackmailed, traded chores with) an amazing group of people whose work is going to highlight this site. I have invited bloggers, artists, musicians, writers, and performers. I will be spotlighting Viennese legends, music from Italy, blogs and opinion pieces on subjects from the TSA to horror stories, all from talented writers and professional performers and much more. And I will be contributing a special piece as well.

To accommodate this undertaking, I am putting all the regular features on hold. The Friday Imponderable and Saturday Comics will return after Mob Week, and Picture Postcard, Late Night Movie House of Crap, and the Tepid Zombie are all on hiatus.

However, for all the American Chopper fans out there, don’t worry, the American Chopper Weekly Rundown will still be posted this Tuesday as always. Hey, even the Mob wouldn’t take on Paul Senior.
