All this week, I will take a  step back and the blog will instead feature daily spotlights on some very interesting people. The regular features will take a week off while posts created by a variety of talented writers and artists take over

If you missed last year’s feature, the Spotlight fell on a variety of people from every spectrum of the internet. You can check out what we called Mob Week right here, starting with Jeff Lynch.

Saturday Comics: The Family Circus (2012)

I checked in on The Family Circus early in January. Know what? It wasn’t funny. It was NEVER funny. Want proof? Here is a current panel:

What’s the joke? I don’t get it! Are they going for heartwarming? Slice of life? I don’t even see where the humor is supposed to belong, unless you count the grin on the baby. He totally looks like he just filled his diaper, but I’m not sure that’s what they’re going for.

And for the record, this is the last time The Family circus was funny:
