Happy New Year! Let’s kick 2014 off with a brand new post, which is far better than the way we ended 2013, with almost two full weeks of reposts. My vow to you: I promise not to run a repost for at least a couple of days. And I’ll probably stand behind that pledge.

Oh, the poor bear! I hope he’s OK. Gravesend Bay is really no place for a bear. I hope someone gave him a good home.

Somebody Call The Language Cops

Just the other day, Allan Keyes and I were in a wedding shop in the heart of Chinatown. Yes, there is a story there. Anyway, after my second or third hour there (at least) I had to use the bathroom. Hey, my bladder can only hold so much bubble tea. Anyway, this sign was posted on the wall:

I agree completely. Who needs to put up with that, whatever it is? I can only assume that this is what Mayor Bloomberg meant when he urged all New Yorkers to “speak grammar.”
