The Saturday Comics: Mary Worth (2012)

June 30, 2012

Let’s check in on Mary Worth. Last time we saw the nosey old biddy, she was all up in arms over that new fad, social networking! What’s happening now? Let’s see!

Wow, what a … great… five days.

Last year, Mary was in exactly one panel. This time, none at all. Did she die? Is this strip now named Mary Worth in her honor? Or is she too boring to appear in her strip? I don’t know and I don’t care. There is a reason I only read it one time each year.

Meanwhile, what I want to know is, when did Mary Worth start ripping off Seinfeld?

I haven’t seen Mary Worth in years ! & I didn’t see her in that strip. Maybe someone got tired of her morally upright, meddling attitude & drop – kicked her off of a balcony. 😉

& why do I think that Liza is going to be stalking Drew ?

This isn’t so bad. Remember the old Spider Man daily strip? There was one stretch where a trapeze artist was falling and Spidey saying “I have to save him” for literally one month.

Some of Seth’s humor needs no explanation. Stream of consciousness, maybe…..

I saw his move Ted tonight. Hysterical! And very much like a live action Family Guy.

Wish I could see more 1st – run movies, the nearest theater to me is a restored old building that ran stuff like ” Hancock ” & ” Swing Vote “, the last that I checked, then Sunday they hold worship services, as if Mayberry didn’t have enough churches already…..
